Shastri Samten Kobelt

Shastri Samten A. Kobelt is senior teacher in the Shambhala Tradition. Born in Switzerland, he first met the dharma in Switzerland in 1984, reading a book by the Druk Sakyong, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. He attended Naropa University in the same year and started his meditation path with Shambhala Training in Boulder. He began teaching in the early 1990s in Europe, and has continued to deepen his training by living and teaching at Karme Choling, Shambhala Mountain Center and most recently, as a Shastri in Boulder, Colorado. He has taught Shambhala and Buddhism as well as Qigong and Contemplative Dance in many places, including the US, Europe and Australia/New Zealand.
