Margaret Drescher
Margaret Drescher lives and works with her husband Jim, at Windhorse Farm in Nova Scotia, Canada. The Shambhala Principle is expressed there through “The Windhorse Way of caring for the land, hosting the community, and training leaders in meditative/contemplative/conversational practices. A long-time student of both Sakyongs, Margaret is trained as a landscape horticulturist and works in the fields of social innovation and women’s leadership in North America and abroad. As one of the “Group of 6” pioneers, she was instrumental in establishing the seat for the Druk Sakyong in Nova Scotia in 1979. She never looked back. She is a mother of 5 and grandmother of 5.
