Marc Olmsted
Marc Olmsted took refuge with Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche in 1978 and completed a traditional Tibetan Buddhist three-year retreat under Lama Tharchin Rinpoche in 1995. He has been anthologized internationally and is the author of four collections of poetry, including What Use Am I a Hungry Ghost?. Allen Ginsberg called Olmsted “one of the few practitioners post-Kerouac that had picked up on the loose and lucid form that Kerouac had developed.” Olmsted’s 25-year relationship with Ginsberg is chronicled in his new memoir, Don’t Hesitate: Knowing Allen Ginsberg 1972-1997—Letters and Recollections. http://www.marcolmsted.com
