Jane Arthur

Jane’s involvement with Shambhala began in 1997.  She lived at Karmê Chöling from 1997-2000 where she held several positions including Program Sphere Manager. At the request of the Sakyong, she became the Executive Director of the Boulder Shambhala Center, where she served from 2000-2004.  She then moved to Shambhala Mountain Center to be Head of Practice and Education from 2005-2006.  During that time, she also served as the Chair of the Marpa House Board and as a Secretary to the Sakyong. She was the Executive Director of Karmê Chöling from 2006-2014.  She is currently the Director of Residential and Retreat Centers and Kalapa Envoy for Leadership Training and Mentorship and sits on the Kalapa Council.   She has hosted one other Monarch Retreat and attended one.  She is also the Director of the Vermont Leadership Institute.
