Are you looking to deepen your practice, to rejuvenate, reenergize, and relax? In today’s speedy and chaotic world many of us seek relief from feelings of stress, anxiety, loneliness, and exhaustion. Many of us look to escape, numb out, or fight these feelings and experiences through unhealthy coping mechanisms, this is normal. In daily life we often feel short on time, and this is one reason why taking a week to reconnect with ourselves and to deepen our yoga practice can be so supportive. A deeper dive into our practice can nourish us and help us to return to our daily life with more energy and a fresh perspective.
During our week in the mountains we will have a chance to slow down and to experience our natural state of well-being through yoga, meditation, walking, and reflection. When we create space to deeply listen to our bodies, minds, and hearts, and to connect to our innate wholesome qualities such as curiosity, compassion, mindfulness, and loving-kindness, our natural inspiration is reignited, and healing occurs. Whether you are coming to this weeklong retreat seeking relief from emotional or physical pain, a feeling of depletion, or to simply deepen your practice and rejuvenate, this retreat is designed to support you in tapping into your own wellspring of well-being.
What type of yoga will we practice on this retreat?
We will practice Slow Flow Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yin Yoga. Slow Flow will support you in building strength, and increasing circulation, mental clarity, flexibility, and balance. Restorative and Yin will help you to relax and open your body, mind, and heart more deeply through longer holds and supported postures.
When will our retreat start and end?
Our program will begin with orientation on Friday evening at 5:30pm, and it will end on the following Friday at 12:30pm. Participants are welcome to stay for lunch and enjoy the land.
What to bring for the program?
Yoga mat (optional), journal or notepad, pen or pencil, walking shoes, water bottle, and a mug with a closed top for tea or coffee (optional).
