Hemera’s Contemplative Fellowships for Educators (CFE) Program Application

If you are a K-12 educator, are involved in the K-12 education system, or are pursuing a masters degree in education, we’d like to invite you to attend a Weekthun or the full Dathun for FREE — thanks to a generous grant being offered by the Hamera Foundation. How To Apply

To apply for a full or partial scholarship please read the information below to make sure you qualify and fill out the application on this page. Fellowships will be awarded by May 6, 2015.

Eligibility

To be eligible for CFE support, applicants must be actively employed in a pre-K through 12 school or currently enrolled in a Masters Degree program in Education. Fellowships are available to anyone working in a school, not just teachers.

Funding Details

New applicants who are first-time retreatants, defined as never having attended a residential retreat longer than a weekend, will receive 100% funding for their first retreat as a fellow. New applicants who have previous retreat experience will receive 50% baseline funding, with need-based support available beyond the baseline. After their first retreat as a fellow, support for additional retreats will be purely need-based.

Lodging Types available for this fellowship include: Lodge Dorm, Red Feather Double, Double or Single Tent, and Seasonal Dorm. Retreatants may pay to upgrade if they wish. Please see all housing options here.

Please Note: Part of the long-term vision of the Hemera Contemplative Fellowships for Educators Program is to build a community of fellows, both online and in person. By accepting Hemera Fellowship funding, you agree to allow your contact information to be shared with the Hemera Foundation, to register online with Hemera as an educator fellow, and to fill out a survey about your retreat experience and the impact it has on your work.
