Retreat to the Colorado Rockies
Drala Mountain Center is a six hundred-acre mountain valley surrounded by native forests, gentle meadows and rocky peaks. As a contemplative site for rest and renewal, we provide a protected container to explore paths of meditation that lead to expanded awareness, well-being and personal transformation.
For more than 50 years, extraordinary people have gathered here for direct experience of Buddhist practices and other wisdom teachings. With over 100 year-round offerings, our guests engage in methods of meditation, yoga, mindful living, contemplative arts and eco-dharma. Our programs are taught by a remarkable array of accomplished practitioners and teachers. Accommodations are comfortable and varied, ranging from fine lodge rooms with modern conveniences to seasonal platform tents on wooded hillsides.
The Great Stupa of Dharmakaya
We are home to the Great Stupa of Dharmakaya, one of the most significant examples of sacred architecture in the world. Throughout history, stupas have promoted harmony, health, prosperity, peace and freedom, bestowing blessings upon the surrounding environment and all who visit. We invite you to practice in the Stupa for a day visit, retreat getaway, or while participating in one of our programs.
Drala Mountain Center is an educational nonprofit organization that serves to inspire others towards the exploration of individual and collective wisdom. We welcome everyone to join us in the vision of enlightened society and share in creating a culture of kindness, generosity, and respect for all.
