Drala Mountain Center Mission

Inspired by the teachings of Buddhadharma, grounded in practices to cultivate wisdom and kindness,

we strive to help create enlightened societies.

Drala Mountain Center Values

Act as Stewards

We make conscious decisions based on good stewardship not only of our center, but also the sacred land we call home. By acting as stewards we ensure Drala Mountain Center’s future for the next 50 years.

Communicate with Integrity

We speak honestly and directly with each other, in community, and in all aspects of our lives. Even when we disagree we look for opportunities to be open, clear, and forthright, as well as opportunities to give specific actionable feedback.

Be Open and Kind

As part of how we communicate we strive to be open and receptive by assuming positive intent,

treating everyone with kindness and compassion, and asking for feedback.

Welcome Diversity

We welcome and encourage different perspectives, inclusive of all backgrounds and identities. We also welcome feedback in the case we are perceived to be acting with unconscious negative bias.

Practice a Path

We commit to continue our personal and communal development, helping one another on the path, and recognizing that all beings are fundamentally good.
