It was 1971 when Rocky Mountain Dharma Center came into being, thanks to Chögyam Trungpa’s vision, combined with the dedication and generosity of his supporters. The first retreat was held in 1972 and we’ve been hosting meditators, dignitaries, yogis, artists, questers and retreaters ever since. RMDC became Shambhala Mountain Center in [insert year].
