Kara Dansky

Kara Dansky is a lawyer and meditation instructor. Before founding One Thousand Arms, she was Special Advisor at the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice in New York, Senior Counsel at the ACLU, and Executive Director of the Stanford Criminal Justice Center. Before that, she was a public defender. She is a certified meditation instructor through Shambhala International. She received her J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School and her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University (both cum laude.)
